Join TCM this September as we bring you THE HOLLYWOOD BLACKLIST – a showcase of films written, directed and produced by the victims who fell under the witch hunt of the House of Un-American Activities which destroyed lives and ruined careers for some of the best talent in Hollywood. On September 7th and 28th, TCM pays tribute to the late great Elia Kazan, whose legendary contributions from stage to screen brought us some of the most important film milestones to date. Featuring the TCM PREMIERE of the documentary ELIA KAZAN: A DIRECTOR’S JOURNEY (1995) by award-winning writer/director Richard Schickel, and Kazan’s landmark film A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE (1951). September also marks the return of our annual musical showcase SYNCOPATION STATION (Sat nights), featuring great filmed musicals from past to present, and on Friday nights we honor LLOYD BACON with four all-night marathons of his work as our September DIRECTOR OF THE MONTH.
